'No words can reflect how much you have helped me. My family have noticed me getting better and enjoying life more'
My Approach
As a person-centred counsellor, my aim is to offer a compassionate, empathic space free from judgement to enable individuals to share their own personal history with any mental or emotional struggles. Person-centred therapy is non-directive, in other words, you will be offered the space to explore any current presenting issues that you may have within your life. I have a very gentle approach, and we will move at your pace to ensure that you feel safe, heard and empowered.

Alongside my person-centred approach, I also have experience and knowledge to work with survivors of abuse. This means that I can support you to work through past traumatic events and work towards a sense of safety through gaining a deeper understanding of yourself and how past trauma has shaped your current lived experience.

About me
I have a calm, compassionate nature and feel it is important to show kindness to everybody I meet. It is my natural empathy which inspired my career path to become a qualified psychotherapist when a close friend suggested 'why don't you give this a go'.

I took my first step into the realm of counselling when completing an 'Introduction to Counselling Skills' course with the University of Cumbria, and I recall connecting with the philosophy that humans can grow into their authentic self's through offering genuine care and a space free from judgement.
